What is Erectile Dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction (ED), widely known as impotence in men, is characterised as inability to get and maintain an erection to have sex.

Having trouble maintaining or getting an erection is not always cause for concern, but if this issue occurs very often, it can lead to stress, decreased or no self-confidence, and even affect your marital relationship. In some people, erectile dysfunction may be the result of an underlying health condition.

The best way to get out of this agonising ailment is to talk to your doctor. People, generally, feel embarrassed discussing their inability to perform well during sexual intercourse, but ED is just another disease like jaundice or malaria, and is very much treatable too.

In many cases, getting a treatment for the underlying health issue is enough to reverse erectile dysfunction, and in others, the patient may just have to take some medications or undergo a tailored treatment procedure.
